It has taken a while for me to be able to write more about our Po, and really I still can't. We miss her SO much. She was the perfect nanny, guardian and companion. Her illness was so hard. It started out with some skin problems which were initially put down to allergies and infections. Then, the migrating lameness began and weird heat cycles. By the time her systemic lupus was diagnosed it was too late. She already had a deadly fast cancer. Now our Izzy is solo dog and Po rests peacefully in her nice box on the dresser. Izzy is a dear little rascal. She learned a lot from following Po's lead. Now she must navigate on her own and learn to be the dog alpha. She refused to eat for a few days, until I gave her Po's old dish. Her appetite still isn't 100%.

Izzy shares our bed. She is so cute when she jumps and her ears fly up. We miss Po's snoring.

Izzy does the squirrel.
She came up with this all on her own. She has been especially into the squirrel since we lost Po.

When people meet Izzy, they are amazed at her small stature. She is a sweet timid dog and greets us by flopping down and rolling onto her back. Along with the squirrel move, the back wiggle is her thing.
Without Po's leadership, Izzy was confused about going outside to potty. She didn't get the proper encouragement the other day, so she peed by her grandma's door. Ooops! Grandma needs to invite her out sweetly!
