Why does cold weather have to be so dessicating? Recently some delicate hands came for help with the effects of winter wind and dry air. These hands didn't want to be greasy because they had many things to do.
Initially, these young hands were completely red, chafed and itchy. Then the Power of 3 was created and given to them. They were so miserable that they refused to pose for photos until they had begun to recover. The picture above is on the second day of Power of 3 use.
Ah, another day with the Power of 3 and they are really feeling better! The Power of 3 has gradually restored some balance without making them too slimy for their missions. The Power of 3 utilizes the benefits of Pure Virgin Olive Oil, Raw Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and vegetable glycerin to soothe and protect skin. To avoid further irritation, it contains no essential oils. It is preserved without formaldehyde releasers and parabens.
When you think of a salt soap, you probably think that it is gritty, full of salt grains and highly exfoliating. It's true that some salt soaps are made this way. Due to our special process of incorporation here at Crafted Herbals, salt does not mean a gritty bar that exfoliates and dries like mad. Our mission is to incorporate the beneficial minerals into the matrix of the soap so that it is released when you lather up. We don't want the salt just mixed into the soap, and sitting there in visible grains that stay behind as the soap dissolves, so we don't make it that way. Due to our process, we can work with salts that other soap makers won't touch. Our soaps with Dead Sea salt have all of it's benefits without being harsh, gooey or crumbly. Our soaps with Epsom and Sea salts release magnesium and sea minerals without scraping your skin. Truly, the skins around here are too delicate to handle salt abrasion, so we choose other natural exfoliants that scrub a bit more gently!
I'm really excited about being able to offer everyone a chance to really give some creative input into the soap making process here at Crafted Herbals by choosing exactly what goes into your soap! The hard part of this is making the form that will be needed in order to allow for selection of everything from oils, to all sorts of herbs, minerals, milks, exfoliants and essential oils. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take single bar custom blend orders, but I certainly will be giving free shipping and also customized labels to go with your personal blend. The form for blending your own soap will be updated regularly based on the materials available for use so that there will not be a significantly long waiting time for the arrival of your order. Initially, the oil and butter selection will be relatively simple, but as my supplies come in, the available options will increase. I will take all of the guess work out of proportions and measurements, etc, so that you may have a perfectly balanced soap. This new product option will be available around the middle of the month if my form building goes according to plan. If it doesn't, perhaps I will have it by the first of March?
